Skiing race in Ilulissat

The Ilulissat Icefjord Challenge is a new skiing race in Ilulissat, which will run for the first time in April 2023.

The race is a collaboration between Avannaata Komminia, Skiing Club I.S.P. langrend, Illu Science and Art, Greenland Skiing Association and World of Greenland. In this context, World of Greenland facilitates website, registration, and smaller logistics-related tasks, but is not the main organizer of the race.

The purpose of the race is to spread the skiing sport among children and adults in Ilulissat, and at the same time create awareness of Greenland and Ilulissat as an exciting winter destination.

The race is a non-profit event for World of Greenland.

This amount is used to buy new skis for the club and to invest in skiing locally.

The children can borrow ski for free
