Lodge Staff, Igloo Lodge

World of Greenland is looking for lodge staff for Igloo Lodge.

The position is from mid-January to mid-April.


Igloo Lodge is located approximately 15 km inland and consists of one main cabin and eight igloos.

There is no electricity, running water or mobile phone coverage.


Your qualifications:


  • You are from Greenland – or have a special connection to the country.
  • Maybe you are a trained guide from Campus Kujalleq.
  • You have a driver's license and experience with motor vehicles - preferably also snowmobiles.
  • Experience with snowmobiling is an advantage.
  • You speak fluent English and Danish – Greenlandic is a big plus.
  • You are outgoing, welcoming and understand the importance of good service.
  • You are enterprising, courageous and not afraid of physical work.
  • You take responsibility for your tasks and find solutions when challenges arise.
  • You have a first aid course of at least 12 hours that is less than two years old (or are willing to take one before employment).
  • You are physically robust – the work at Igloo Lodge is demanding, including building igloos and handling fuel cans.
  • You know about the tourism industry and its diverse tasks.
  • You are willing to share accommodation with colleagues.

We offer:


Salary by agreement along with a pension scheme and an agreed arrival and departure trip. After 12 months of employment you will be granted a holiday or free travel.


Working hours are set to 40 hours per week.


The schedule alternates between morning shifts and evening shifts as well as weekend shifts. Accommodation is provided for the right candidate.
